Alkent 2000 is a villa and apartment settlement developed by Alarko in the Büyükçekmece Lake valley in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. According to Alarko's project page, the settlement on a 3,000,000 m² area contains 800 villas and 200 apartments. The project was built in three phases between 1994 and 2006. The settlement includes recreational facilities, shopping areas and a central compound management system. The area received neighbourhood status by a municipal council decision in 2000.
