About the project

The Akaretler Row Houses are terraced houses in Beşiktaş, located where Şair Nedim and Süleyman Seba streets meet. The buildings were built in 1875 by Sarkis Balyan, on the order of Sultan Abdülaziz, for senior officials of Dolmabahçe Palace. With a restoration completed by Bilgili Holding in 2008, they were opened to mixed use. The project contains 98 offices and residences, 42 shops and restaurants and House of Divan; the area also has galleries, cafés and parking/valet service. The project received first place at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Awards for Excellence.
